And as for Mom..well with baby brown getting bigger so am I. I have certianly noticed a little pot belly, I have had a little pot belly all of my life, but this is bigger and harder and really cute if I say so myself. Tom and I went to babysit for a friend on saturday night (oh how our lives are changing) and when I put on my jeans they were really tight around the waist, made me a wee bit sad but mostly happy:) I have been working full time the last few weeks and my energy levels have really increased, which is great, I almost feel like my old self again. It is just the morning sickness and when my blood sugars get low that I really notice the pregnancy. The weekly womens mountian bike rides are getting alot better too...before I felt I hardly had the energy for them, but now I am right back in the game. Don't worry moms, I am by passing all the skinny log rides, stunts and jumps :) On Saturday night I got a very sudden bought of the flu. I stayed in bed all day on Sunday with body aches and chills and a bit of a fever, but I had Nurse Tom to assist and heal me.. thanks Tom. My immunity is down because of the pregnancy, but also because of the pregnancy the flu seems a lot scarier, we are always thinkg of the little baby brown. I am feeling much better today though, and just need to get more rest.

THE SECOND TRIMESTER!
On August 2nd Baby Brown turned 12 weeks old and growing more everyday. This has come as some relief to me as the morning sickness has lightened and the fatigue I felt in the first three months has almost disappeared. This is also a great reilef because the chance of miscarriage is greatly reduced!! We knew this baby wasn't going anywhere...but there is always that chance. Being 13 weeks now baby brown is close to 3 1/2" in length...the size of my tightened fist. When Tom and I were reading that in our baby book yesturday we were surprised, it seemed like just yesturday that the baby was only two inches. Baby has all essential organs, has 32 permanent tooth buds and is starting to grow eye brows and hair on his/her head. Pretty awesome and even more so .... baby brown is moving! Too early for me to feel it but this little being is starting to use its elbows and knees and explore movements. So exciting!
