Babys First Ultrasound.

Tom and I returned from our Honeymoon on Malcom Island in preperation for our first Ultrasound.   On July 7th at 10am I drank two litres of water and Tom and I went to the St. Joseph Clinic to confirm that there really was a little bean  in there.  The Technician found a little baby and a heart beat right away to my relief...hehe.  When he invited Tom in to take a look he also told us that the heart beat was a perfect 162 beats per minute, this was music to my ears.  Sounds silly but the mind is a powerful thing and I was so happy to hear that I wasn't just imagining all these pregnancy symptoms.  He also was able to tell us that based on the size of our little bean (which is under one inch) that he/she was likely eight weeks and two day old.   This estimation would make our conception date May the 10th and our due date February the 15th...The day of Carols Sparks birthday, the day after valentines day, and two days before Tom's birthday.    Tom says this will be the greatest birthday present he's ever gotton.  I should think so.  Even with all these dates Tom and I think that baby brown was actually concived on May the 20th....so I guess we will see, either way I want our little bean to stay inside and grow as long as it needs to...ask me this at nine months???  After the Ultrasound we bought a little piggy bank to save our change for babys first bank account...well actually we bought two piggy banks because they were buy one get one free and we are planning on having two children, makes sense right???  I am so excited ...having the visual sight of our little bean and his/her heartbeat has been so uplifting.

I know pronounce you husband and wife!

Well the day has come and gone and it was.....so magical.  Tom and I were married at the comox valley rod and gun club on June 27th, 2009 and it was awesome.   There was light rain all morning and afternoon, it could not have been more fitting for a wet...I mean west coast wedding.  The cermony was beautiful and powerful,  Tom and I were the center of a circle of wonderful family and friends. I might be biased, but I think the energy was felt by everyone present.  I could not have been happier than I was on this day, I could have had a bit less nausia and a little more energy, but that was only a pleasent reminder that we were going to be sharing all of the love that we felt that day with a little person very soon.   After fighting back the tears of joy and pride through the beautifully written speaches Tom and I took the plung and shared with all that were present that we didn't have to work too hard on  the honeymoon because we were already eight weeks pregnant.  :)  Such an awesome evening, and I really got to absorb every moment thanks to the lack of beer I was drinking.  Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special day.
